What is a "Swing Analysis"

A medical doctor uses technology such as X-rays, CT Scans, MRI's and other tools to help diagnose a problem which will then help him make a more accurate treatment or prescription for what's wrong with the patient.

A golf instructor is now able to use videotape, weight transfer analysis, and a launch monitor to help diagnose the problems a golfer is having with his or her swing to help prescribe a more appropriate treatment for the swing.

In our Swing Analysis, we use our ABOUT GOLF Indoor Technology to analyze the swing of our students which then enables us to explain to the student what elements of the swing need to be worked on or corrected from which point, the instructor can make recommendations on what type of lesson plan or program is most appropriate.  All recorded images from the swing analysis are uploaded to a personalize DATA TRAC account which enables the student to view their analysis online from any computer in the world and also be able to track their sessions to monitor their ongoing progress..

Student's swing is analyzed from the "down the line" view to determine the proper "plane" of the swing.	The swing plane has a primary, secondary, and true plane.  Students are checked and measured in all three.	Determining whether the students swing is on plane will help determine a plan of action that will help the student the most.
Student's swings are also analyzed from the "face on" view to determine body turn, level of hinge, and weight transfer.	By using high speed videotape, we're able to show the student how they are delivering power into the moment of impact and then releasing through.	Balance and weight transfer are very obvious when viewed on high speed video as well as to the naked eye.
